Taiwanese companies take part in the 2015 National Hardware Show (NHS) in Las Vegas

The 70th Annual National Hardware Show (NHS) was held from May 5 to 7, 2015 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The National Hardware Show is an event encompassing such varied product categories as hardware & tools, homewares, lawn, garden & outdoor living, paint & accessories, plumbing & electrical, in addition to international sourcing and so on. The show attracted nearly 27,000 industry professionals and buyers worldwide, and exhibitors included such industry giants as Home Depot, Lowe’s, Ace, Do It Best, Orgill, and Amazon.

This year, 150 Taiwanese companies attended the show with 54 of them occupying 70 booths comprising the “Taiwan Pavilion” at the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center. They were organized by the Taiwan Hand Tool Manufacturers’ Association, Plumbing Association of Taiwan and TAITRA.

Deputy Director General Mr. Ming-Shy Chen of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in L.A. and Specialist Ms. Andrea Chou of the Economic Division of TECO in L.A. visited the Taiwan Pavilion on May 5-6 and exchanged views with the participating companies from Taiwan concerning the development of this industry. Most of the companies expressed that attending the show had a great effect and that they also appreciated the sponsorship provided by the Bureau of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Economic Affairs.
